We currently have exciting opportunities in the Hoddesdon area for both Trainee Technicians to learn the trade whilst being trained to highest possible level and for experienced technicians to further their development, no specific experience is necessary but you need to be motivated and hungry to learn, then we will support you in all areas of the role.

This role will be a very customer focussed and you would be the face of Auto Windscreens to our customers, providing a constantly excellent level of service while carrying out repairs or replacement of automotive glass, our customers are key to our success which is why providing them with the best possible experience at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working independently to provide the efficient and effective installation of all types of auto motive glazing units.
  • Liaising with customers on a daily basis, via timely communication, to ensure that a professional service is consistently supplied.
  • Adhering to high quality Health and Safety standards by undertaking all work in accordance with Company policy including:
    • Visual on site risk assessment
    • Keeping work areas safe
    • Wearing the correct personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Report all accidents or incidents to your line manager
    • To work closely with the Area Service Manager, ensuring that appropriate levels of effective communication are maintained on a daily basis and any questions or concerns are raised in a timely manner.
    • Ensure that customer complaints and warranty rectifications are consistently below the set monthly Company targets.
    • Handle customer complaints appropriately and effectively where applicable.
    • Work collaboratively with the Group Contact Centre and other areas of the business where required.

Key Experience

  • Holder of a full UK driving license.
    • Preferred experience of working in a customer facing role.
    • Ideally worked in the automotive or mechanical field.
    • Ability to work on own initiative in a stand-alone role.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Able to demonstrate a good level of competence in planning and organizing own workload.


A full valid UK Drivers licence is Essential for this role

The role operates an out of hour’s roster and any successful candidate would be expected to take part in it, in return we will offer you an excellent basic salary with allowances, corporate uniform, a vehicle for company use and we will train you to the highest level within the industry.
