Will I get an training when I start work with you?

All trainee technicians will have a structured training plan for the first month, the first week of which will be based at our Technical Training Centre in Chesterfield. You will learn all of the company processes and collect your equipment, vehicle and corporate uniform. The remaining three weeks will be with our field trainers in a live environment carrying out on the job training.

Technicians with previous experience will undergo a shorter induction at our training centre in Chesterfield, followed by a short time out on the road with a field trainer to bring you up to speed with the company processes and procedures.

We will support you with ongoing training and development in the role whether you are a trainee or a skilled technician to help you develop your career with the company.

Contact centre advisors receive an intensive two-week training programme, followed by one week with a trainer answering live calls.

How will you know what training I will need?

All staff training needs are assessed on an individual basis. Please see Working with Us for more information about automotive glazing training.

I’d like to work part-time, is this possible?

We have a number of employees working for us on a part-time and job sharing basis and vacancies do sometimes arise for part-time working. Please contact recruitment@autowindscreens.co.uk to discuss further.

As I only want to work for a short time, do you employ temporary staff?

Occasionally a contract is offered on a fixed-term basis, normally for an employee covering maternity leave or a long term absence. These vacancies will appear on the Latest Vacancies.

Do you have appraisals?

All employees and managers have an annual appraisal. Formal objectives are set and learning and development needs discussed.

What hours will I work?

Your hours will depend on the job you have applied for and will be discussed with you at interview stage.
